50 Cent, Lil Wayne and others – Top 5 celebs who got shot but survived (Full List)

Violence has long been a problem in Hollywood, exacerbated by the intense strain of the celebrity lifestyle.

While many famous people have regrettably been murdered or assassinated over the years, like John Lennon, Tupac Shakur, many more have been shot and somehow survived.

The glamorous world of celebrity isn’t always that simple, with harrowing mental health challenges and foiled assassination attempts.

Gist Paper is taking a look at all those Hollywood icons who got shot but survived, from Megan Thee Stallion to Lil Wayne.

Megan Thee Stallion

Hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion and her ex-boyfriend Tory Lanez got into a contentious legal dispute when she accused him of shooting her and leaving her with bullet fragments in her feet. Tory now faces up to 22 years in prison after being convicted guilty.

Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur was shot in 1994, but he managed to survive, before he sadly died in a Hollywood assassination. The first incidence happened on November 30 in the lobby of a recording studio in New York City, and it wasn’t until 2011 that the perpetrator was identified.

Lil Wayne

In a tragic occurrence during his early years, Lil Wayne, a rapper, shot himself in the chest at the age of 12. The distressed boy made an attempt at suicide before contacting the police and going into his mother’s room to get her gun.

He stated on a program that her put the gun to his head initially but couldn’t pull the trigger out of fear so he instead shot for the heart.

50 Cent

In May 2000, iconic rapper 50 Cent suffered the near-impossible: he was shot nine times, and survived. The ‘In Da Club’ hitmaker suffered bullet wounds in his hand, arm, chest, hip, legs and his left cheek. 50 Cent’s facial scar is still visible, and caused a minor slur in his speech when it healed over.

Bob Marley

Bob Marley, famous for his Jamaican music and musical legacy, died in 1981 after a battle with melanoma. The talented musician, however, was actually a part of a failed assassinated attempt before cancer claimed his life.

In 1976, as Bob and his group were getting ready for a show, seven armed guys with reifles attacked his “safe house.”

While she was leaving the compound in her car, the gunmen shot Marley’s wife in the head. Thankfully, she survived and the bullet only grazed her scalp.
