Among the newly added performers for the 2022 VMAs are Lizzo and Jack Harlow.

The roster of previously announced musicians scheduled to take the stage at the 2022 VMAs has been expanded to include Lizzo and Jack Harlow. The “About Damn Time” popstar will perform “2 Be Loved,” the lead track from her most recent album Special. This year, she is also nominated for four categories, including Song of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Among the newly added performers for the 2022 VMAs are Lizzo and Jack Harlow.

Harlow makes a comeback with his debut solo performance. The rapper is up for Artist of the Year alongside Lizzo and shares the most nominations this year with Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X.

Both musicians join Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, and Panic! at the Disco. On the main stage for this year’s award presentation, there will be performances by At The Disco, BLACKPINK, and Mneskin. Black nation

Nicki Minaj, the 2022 Video Vanguard winner, will also perform on stage for the first time since 2018.

22 gender-neutral categories, including the two brand-new ones for best long form video and best metaverse performance, are up for vote until August 19th. Up until the end of the presentation, viewers can cast their votes for the best new artist. Later this week, the nominees for the social categories, Group of the Year, and Song of Summer will be revealed.

On Sunday, August 28th at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the 2022 VMAs will be broadcast live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The program will air on MTV, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand, VH1, and for the third consecutive year, The CW.
