Pablo Gavi is yet to accept new contract with Barcelona – Laporta reveals

Pablo Gavi has yet to agree to a new deal with Barcelona, according to club president Joan Laporta.

Laporta stated that he is against of the fact that Gavi has yet to accept Barcelona’s latest offer to extend his contract. Next summer, Gavi’s current contract with Barcelona will end.

Speaking on the development, Laporta expressed his displeasure with the situation and said (as quoted by The Anfield Watch on Twitter):
“Gavi’s agent has had the new contract proposal on the table for a long time, but he has not accepted yet. We don’t understand. I don’t like the situation. I encourage them to accept it as soon as possible.”
So far this season, Gavi has performed admirably for Barcelona. The young Spanish player has started all four of Barcelona’s La Liga games this season and is reportedly of interest to Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus, and Manchester United.
