Casemiro, Manchester United’s newest acquisition, has begged Cristiano Ronaldo to remain with the team.
Earlier this week, Casemiro, who played alongside Ronaldo for Real Madrid from 2013 to 2018, decided to leave the Spanish champion and join United.
This summer, Ronaldo asked to quit United and missed the most of the team’s preseason schedule.
In response to a question about reuniting with Ronaldo at Old Trafford, Casemiro said, “I haven’t spoken to Cristiano, I hope he remains since he’s one of the finest players of all time,” on Monday during an emotional farewell to his Madrid colleagues.
The 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder also stated that his goal is to assist United, who are presently ranked 19th in the English Premier League, “win the league.”
He declared, “I want to do there everything I did here.” “I’m in the midst of one of my best phases professionally. I think I’m in terrific physical and mental shape, and I think now is a great time to make this choice.”
Ronaldo made a cryptic comment last week in response to the uncertainty surrounding his future at Manchester United.
The 37-year-old responded to a post suggesting he would join Real Madrid by saying he would expose the “truth” in an unnamed interview in the upcoming weeks.
