The popular Nigerian artist Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, discusses his friendship with Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Davido recently referred to Ronaldo as a close friend and stated his support for him during an appearance on the ABTalks podcast, which is hosted by Anas Bukhash.
In addition, he chastised people who mocked Ronaldo after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup. When recounting the situation, O.B.O underlined his relationship to Ronaldo and said that, in light of their friendship, the internet abusers’ words greatly hurt him.
“Observe Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the World Cup. By the way, he’s a friend of mine. He is a close friend of mine. Even after everything he has accomplished, I recall being on the internet when he left the World Cup and seeing how frequently trolls were insulting him.
It is important to note that Davido paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo in his well-known song from 2017 called “Fall,” and surprisingly, Davido is the only African musician that Ronaldo follows on Instagram.
