Dele Alli, a midfielder for Everton, has signed a loan deal with Besiktas in Turkey for the balance of the 2022–23 campaign.
The 26-year-old transferred from Tottenham to Everton in February and made 11 appearances for the Goodison Park team in the previous campaign, starting one of them.
He has appeared twice as a substitute for the Toffees this season, in league losses to Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Alli earned his 37th and last England cap in 2019.
Although there is a buyout option, Besiktas has stated they will not pay an Everton loan fee.
For the loan, Alli will receive a guaranteed 2 million euros in addition to a maximum of 10,000 euros every game.
He was the PFA’s Young Player of the Year twice, but in 13 games for Frank Lampard’s team, he failed to score or record an assist.
Last season, Besiktas placed sixth in the Turkish Super Lig.
