FC Zurich vs Arsenal: Arteta Provides Smith Rowe Injury Updates

Emile Smith Rowe has not traveled to Switzerland with the team for today’s Europa League match against FC Zurich, according to Mikel Arteta.
The manager disclosed that the midfielder has been dealing with an injury for some time. After the match against Manchester United on Sunday, he was sent home to rest and recover.

Arteta revealed the following during his pre-game press conference: “He experienced discomfort in a location where he had been experiencing it for a few weeks. He isn’t in the team since he wasn’t at ease after the game and hasn’t practiced in a few days.”

In an effort to start the campaign on a winning note, we have sent a strong-looking traveling party to St. Gallen. Despite also being without Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, and Reiss Nelson, Arteta believes the talent remaining at his disposal should give us a decent opportunity of earning three points.
Due to injuries that have occurred over the past two weeks, he continued, “Unfortunately, we don’t have that many players available.” “We want to treat this contest against a competitor who will make things challenging for us very seriously. We want to get the tournament off to a strong start and keep it going.”
When it came to fitness, the Spaniard was also questioned about how he would balance Bukayo Saka’s playing time with the World Cup coming up in a few months, where he is anticipated to play a significant role for England.
“We’ll do our best to manage his workload and bring him onto the field in the best possible shape if the team and performances allow it. We feel something after November that has never happened before.”
