Giroud, Mbappe shines as defending champions France cruise past Australia

Olivier Giroud tied Thierry Henry’s all-time scoring mark for France as the defending World Cup champions defeated Australia with a decisive victory.
The Socceroos unexpectedly took the lead on a sidefoot from Craig Goodwin, but Adrien Rabiot’s header tied the score. Giroud gave France the lead, and Kylian Mbappe increased it.

Giroud, 36, finished off a great performance by heading past goalkeeper Mathew Ryan for his 51st international goal.
