“I speak when I want” – Cristiano Ronaldo says as he describe himself as ‘bulletproof’

Portugal and Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken in public for the first time since his contentious interview with Piers Morgan.

Recall that the five times Ballon d’Or winner made fun of Manchester United hierarchy, including manager Erik ten Hag and former teammate Wayne Rooney, in the interview with the British journalist.

When Ronaldo unexpectedly showed up at a press conference in Qatar, he was questioned about how the timing of the interview would affect the Portugal team as they get ready to launch another World Cup campaign.

Responding to the question, Ronaldo offered no apologies and further added that “he talks when he wants to.”

He said; “Timing is always timing. From your side it is easy to look at how we can chose things. Sometimes you write truths, sometimes you write lies. I don’t have to worry what other’s think. I talk when I want to. Everybody knows who I am, what I believe in.”

After calling himself “bulletproof” and “ironclad,” Ronaldo –  who has just three goals to his name at the club level this season – asked the reporter to cease questioning him about remarks made on the eve of a major tournament.

Manchester United are exploring their legal options as they look to end Ronaldo’s time at the club following his critical interview with TalkTV.
