The third studio album by Nigerian musician Fireboy DML, titled “Playboy,” has just been released.
The project was officially published on Friday, August 5, 2022, as planned by the great musicians affiliated with Nigeria’s YBNL Nation and America’s Empire.

Some of the best musicians, including Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Rema, Euro, Asake, and Shenseea, appear on Fireboy’s 14-track “Playboy” album.

In an earlier interview with NME, Fireboy had stated that the body of work represents him embracing his superstar status, something he had long avoided acknowledging, and that he is now wholly focused on luxury and pleasure.

According to a story in WithinNigeria, the musician said that the “Playboy” album shows him as an experienced performer who has evolved from a naive lover boy to a playboy who is no stranger to ladies, fame, fortune, and success.

In a conversation with NME, Fireboy suggested the appropriate word for “Playboy” is “development.” I’ve changed from being this young, native lover guy to this [playboy], he continued.

When I was that loving boy in 2019, he said, “I was new to my life experiences, experiences with women, and new to fame, money, success—and this all naturally manifested in the songs.”

“The music that people adored had this type of vulnerability. When 2020 arrived, I had become a large guy and a superstar, but I was still a recluse.

The critically acclaimed albums “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps” and “Apollo” were followed by “Playboy.”

Below, you can listen to the hedonist body of work.
