Kobe Bryant, a Los Angeles Lakers legend, would have turned 44 today, Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Bryant played for the Lakers for 20 years and won five NBA championships, including a three-peat with Shaquille O’Neal.
He left this world far too soon, when his helicopter crashed in 2020, apparently due to severe weather.
Bryant was one of nine persons killed in the crash, which also killed his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

Vanessa Kobe, Kobe’s widow, is currently fighting Los Angeles County in court.
She is suing them for causing her mental distress by sharing images of the crash site with each other’s social circles.
