Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ divorce, according to Cyrus, was “like a death.”

In a painful new interview, the singer was open and honest about the separation.
Regarding her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus is being open. Over the course of a decade, the couple had been together on and off, and their eventual separation was obviously sad for both of them.
On the Call Her Daddy podcast from Barstool Sports, Cyrus spoke about her acrimonious split from Hemsworth and revealed (via Yahoo! ), “Over the course of a 10-year relationship, I had a very public and significant separation. When you lose a deep love, it seems deathlike. It has the impression of dying.” Cyrus’ sentiments are terribly relevant for those of us who wed and later divorced our high school sweethearts.

Since [a breakup] the person is still on the planet, sometimes [death] even feels simpler, continued Cyrus.
The “Wrecking Ball” artist also disclosed that after splitting from Hemsworth, she regained her sense of self. Going through a major breakup, one thing I got from all the loss is a concept that what I do is for myself, as the singer of “Slide Away” put it.
Hemsworth turned out to be Cyrus’ first man she slept with as well, after having intercourse with women prior. According to Cyrus, who concealed the truth from Hemsworth for ten years, she “lied and said he wasn’t the first so I didn’t feel like a loser.”
Following her breakup with Cody Simpson, the singer is also planning her future relationships. In response to the question of what she is seeking in a new companion, Cyrus remarked, “I’ve been quite adventurous. Simply said, I don’t have a type. Importantly, Cyrus requires a partner who “lives a sober lifestyle” as well. Don’t hunt for your next partner at the club, she said. Put yourself in situations where you will succeed. You have a lot of power over it.
