Liverpool has turned down a £150 million transfer proposal from Al-Ittihad for Egyptian player Mohamed Salah.

The audacious £150 million transfer offer made by the wealthy Saudi club, Al-Ittihad, for Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah has been rejected by Liverpool, the English club.

Liverpool swiftly turned down the offer for the 31-year-old, stating that their speedy superstar was not available for sale at any price.

Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian record holder, joined Liverpool in 2017 from the Italian club Roma. He had signed a new three-year contract the previous summer, reaffirming his commitment to the club where he has achieved significant success, including winning the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, and Uefa Super Cup.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp emphasized Salah’s unwavering dedication to the club, declaring that he was “100% committed” to the Anfield team. Klopp reiterated this stance ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming match against Aston Villa at Anfield on Sunday.

“The stance remains unchanged; there’s absolutely no room for doubt. That’s the current situation, and there’s nothing more to add,” stated the German coach on Friday.

However, there’s still apprehension, given that the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on September 7, while the English and European windows shut down this Friday at 11 pm. This means Saudi clubs can still sign players from any league.

There’s speculation that Salah could earn £1.7 million per week if he joins the Saudi club, but his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, refuted these reports, stating, “Mohamed remains fully committed to Liverpool.”

He further assured, “If we had considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer.”

Notably, the Egyptian footballer has clinched the Premier League Golden Boot three times and has been named the PFA Player of the Year twice.
