Mercy Johnson-Okojie, a popular Nigerian actress, resorted to social media to explain why she quit starring in romantic scenes.
She revealed this in a recent interview with Goldmyne TV, which took place during the premiere of her directorial first film, Legend of Inikpi. According to the soon-to-be mother of four, she made certain decisions in the past that she regrets.
She did, however, say that her sense of judgment has improved with age. She remarked that she can no longer act naked or in love situations because she is now accountable to a large number of people.
“What would the younger girls do if I did that?” When you reach a particular level of development, you strive to do better. You don’t need anybody to tell you what’s good or wrong, in my opinion. My age is catching up with me. “I’ve matured past that level; I’m responsible to too many people: my husband, my children,” she explained.
“I hate to disgrace them in any way,” she continued. My daughter is maturing. She occasionally takes my phone, starts googling, and says, ‘Mum, my pals said…’ They’re also incredibly curious.
I don’t think it’s something I want to do to make my children doubt me or have something in their minds that they want.
