The Albert Einstein Hospital has released a new statement insisting that football legend, Pele, is responding to treatment.
The hospital denied that the 82-year-old’s health has worsened in the past 24 hours.
“He is still undergoing treatment and his health condition remains stable.
He is responding well to care for a respiratory infection, and his condition has not changed in the last 24 hours”.
Pele has been at the hospital since Tuesday. He is currently getting antibiotics to treat an infection, as well as undergoing chemotherapy against cancer.
Pele in September 2021 had colon tumour removed and has been in and out of the hospital.
