On Wednesday, PSG will face Angers in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes.

It will be Messi’s first game since Argentina defeated France in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.

According to Le Parisien, the club would not allow the 35-year-old to parade the trophy on their home field, as is customary for returning victors.

This comes amid concerns about potential whistles and boos from PSG fans.

Messi may face jeers from French supporters as a result of Albiceleste goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez’s actions towards Kylian Mbappe before and after the final.

Messi was standing close to Martinez when he held a baby doll with Mbappe’s face glued to it during Argentina’s homecoming parade in Buenos Aires.
