RB Leipzig vs Man City: De Bruyne and Laporte out of Champions League tie

Aymeric Laporte and Kevin de Bruyne will not play in Wednesday’s first-leg Champions League match between Manchester City and RB Leipzig.

The two were not a part of the squad that was traveling to Germany and did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.

What their individual injuries are is unknown.

The game will also be missed by defender John Stones as he continues to recover from a thigh injury, but January acquisition Maximo Perrone has already left.

Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig is questionable for the match. The French forward has 17 goals this season across all competitions, although he has just recently made a full recovery from an ankle injury he sustained in November.

He participated and assisted in the victory over Wolfsburg on Saturday, but he is still working his way back to full fitness.
