A request from Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to include award-winning singers Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid on the new naira notes has received mixed responses.
On Friday, November 18, Uche made the proposal while recognizing and applauding the work made by the music performers in the entertainment sector.
According to the Nollywood actor, including images of music icons on the planned Naira notes will inspire the next generation and give the note meaning.
Put the images of Davido, WIZKID, and Burna Boy on the redesigned Naira if you want it to have value around the world, Uche said.
“Dear CBN, these three Legends have enhanced Nigeria’s reputation worldwide in the twenty-first century.”
