For clubs interested in signing Casemiro, a combative midfielder, this summer, Real Madrid has set a high asking price.

Transfer: Real Madrid demanded an unbelievable amount from Manchester United to get Casemiro

This summer, Manchester United is eager to lure the Brazilian to Old Trafford to address the midfield issues that have cost them their first two Premier League games.

According to rumours from the Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Los Blancos are asking Manchester United for an enormous sum of money.

Before the transfer window shuts, Erik ten Hag wants the club to add two new central midfielders.

Due to Adrien Rabiot’s astronomical wage demands, United withdrew from an agreement to sign him, and they are now concentrating on Casemiro.

According to the source, Real Madrid has no immediate intention to sell Casemiro but may be persuaded to do so if a sizable offer is made.

The 30-year-old Brazilian must, however, pay the English Premier League club €70 million (£59 million) before they can let him go.
It is unclear whether Manchester United’s management would be willing to spend this much money on a player who will turn 31 in February.

When he transferred from Sao Paulo to the Bernabeu in 2013, Casemiro only cost €6m (£5m).
