Willow Smith Talks About Chris Rock Being Slapped by Her Father at the Oscars

Willow Smith talked about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in a recent interview with Billboard.

The outcry against her father following the slap, according to Willow, “rocked me less than my own inner demons.”
She said, “I regard everyone in my family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness. Because of the position we have, “our humanity isn’t always respected, and we’re expected to behave in a way that doesn’t promote a healthy human life or promote being honest.”

In other parts of the interview, Willow discussed her new album Coping mechanism, which she characterized as being really vulnerable and coming from the hardships she encountered after having her heart shattered.
“I used to wonder why there are so many songs about heartbreak and why is this such a big deal,” she continued. Then I understood that when it occurs, you truly do feel like something is wrong with you.
The official follow-up to her 2021 album Lately I Feel Everything, the LP is scheduled for release on September 23.
