During his performance in New York, Nigerian superstar singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, put all rumors of a falling out with Davido to rest and demonstrated his fervent support for the latter.
Some of the two singers’ fans think they don’t get along, but there was no indication of that at Wizkid’s sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden in the United States of America, when he turned out the lights and sang a few of Davido’s big songs.
“Davido we love you, OBO we love you,” was overheard Wizkid stating.
The crowd loudly shouted along while the singer’s music played at the concert venue, shouting “This one is for OBO.”
The gesture is believed to be intended as a show of solidarity for Davido and Chioma following the tragic death of their son Ifeanyi, who drowned and passed away in the family’s swimming pool in October at their home in Lagos State.
